About the role#
This is a student teaching assistant position for ANI-3503 3D Animation III during the Fall 2026 term. The role involves supporting students in the classroom and during lab hours, providing technical guidance, and assisting with animation assignments. You will work 4 to 6 hours per week under the supervision of Dan Daly.
What you'll do#
- Assist with classroom setup and general instructor support.
- Provide technical help and animation assistance to students during assignments, exercises, and lab sessions.
- Offer constructive feedback and professional critiques on student work.
- Hold published office hours to support student learning.
- Track and report your worked hours accurately.
- Collaborate with other teaching assistants as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a matriculated student at DigiPen Institute of Technology.
- Successful completion of ANI-350 or another 300-level CG Animation class with a grade of B+ or higher.
- Strong working knowledge and expertise in Maya animation tools and procedures.
- Ability to communicate clearly and provide professional feedback to peers.
- Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work independently.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 and good academic standing.
Location & details#
- Location: Redmond, Washington, USA. You must reside within the state of Washington to perform this work.
- Term: August 31 to December 11, 2026.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $17.13 to $18.25 per hour, based on previous terms worked at DigiPen.
- Eligibility: You may not work during any hours you are scheduled for class. This position is open to students in Computer Science, Graphic Design, Art, and Media Studies.
