About the role#
This position is for a Student Teaching Assistant for the ANI-3503 3D Animation III course taught by Dan Daly for the Fall 2026 term. You will support students in their animation work and assist the instructor with classroom operations. This is a part-time role requiring 4 to 6 hours per week.
What you'll do#
- Assist with classroom setup and general instructor support.
- Provide technical help and animation guidance to students working on assignments and exercises.
- Support students during labs and scheduled office hours.
- Give constructive feedback and critiques in a professional manner.
- Track and report your work hours accurately.
- Collaborate with other teaching assistants as needed.
What you'll need#
- You must be a currently matriculated student at DigiPen Institute of Technology.
- Successful completion of ANI-350 or another 300-level CG Animation class with a grade of B+ or higher.
- Strong working knowledge of Maya, including expertise in its animation tools and procedures.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to mentor peers.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 and good academic standing.
Location & details#
- This role is based in Redmond, Washington, and must be performed on-site. You must reside within the state of Washington.
- Employment dates are August 31 to December 11, 2026.
- Pay ranges from $17.13 to $18.25 per hour, based on your previous terms worked at the institution.
- You cannot work during any time you have a scheduled class.
