About the role#
Dewberry is hiring a Transportation Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 term. You will join our Civil/Transportation Group in the New York City office. This position involves working on a variety of project types and allows you to apply classroom knowledge to real engineering tasks. You may also have opportunities for field work.
What you'll do#
- Design horizontal and vertical alignments.
- Create drainage systems and stormwater management plans.
- Plan for erosion and sediment control.
- Develop maintenance and protection of traffic schemes.
- Prepare contract plans for various clients.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program for Civil Engineering.
- Experience with CADD software, specifically MicroStation or AutoCAD.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
