About the role#
Dewberry is hiring interns for the Summer 2027 term to join the Telecommunications Department in Richmond, Virginia. This full-time, paid position offers hands-on experience with telecommunication, technology, and EV projects. You will work alongside professionals to apply classroom knowledge to real-world engineering tasks.
What you'll do#
- Assist project managers in preparing construction and permitting documents.
- Conduct field work to collect information for design preparation.
- Perform construction inspections of completed installations.
- Prepare reports for project closeout packages.
- Participate in company workshops, networking events, and a summer-long group project.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a B.S. in Civil Engineering.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, AutoCAD 3D, Civil 3D, or HydroCAD.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- A desire to work in a team environment.
- Previous internship experience is a plus.

- Compensation: $18.75 to $29.75 per hour, depending on experience and skills.
