About the role#
Dewberry is hiring a Survey Intern for the Summer 2027 term in Charlotte, North Carolina. This full-time, on-site internship offers hands-on experience with boundary, topographic, and construction surveys. You will work as part of a crew, assisting with various field projects and participating in professional development workshops throughout the summer.
What you'll do#
- Assist the field supervisor with daily crew tasks.
- Follow all safety regulations and work in a safe manner.
- Maintain equipment and keep vehicles orderly and ready for duty.
- Participate in summer-long group projects and networking events.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an Associate or Bachelor degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, GIS, or Planning.
- Strong mathematical and communication skills.
- Basic computer skills. Knowledge of AutoCAD is a plus.
- A valid driver license and the ability to pass a driving record check.
- Physical ability to work outdoors on construction sites in all weather conditions and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Willingness to travel for extended periods.
