About the role#
Dewberry is looking for a Structural Engineering Intern to join the Building and Facility Structures Group in New York City for the summer of 2027. This is a full-time, paid position focused on the design and analysis of non-bridge structures. You will work alongside professionals on a variety of project types while gaining hands-on experience in the field.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the preparation of structural engineering calculations, reports, construction drawings, and specifications.
- Work on public and private buildings, structural evaluations, repairs, and upgrades.
- Support projects involving waterfront structures, flood resiliency, and transit and rail facilities.
- Participate in professional development workshops and a summer-long group project with firm leaders.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor or Master degree program for Civil or Architectural Engineering.
- Previous exposure to civil or structural engineering design.
- Proficiency in REVIT and AutoCAD.
- Working knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
