About the role#
Dewberry is looking for a Structural (Bridge) Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 term. Based in our Owings Mills, Maryland office, this full-time position provides hands-on project experience. You will work alongside our team to address technical challenges and gain insight into the professional services industry. A housing bonus may be available for eligible candidates.
What you'll do#
- Design bridges using steel and concrete.
- Develop transportation structures such as retaining walls, culverts, and sign structures.
- Help prepare contract plans, construction specifications, and engineer estimates.
- Provide construction support services.
- Participate in professional development workshops and a summer-long group project.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a B.S. program for Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering.
- Experience with CADD software, specifically Microstation or AutoCAD.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- A desire to work in a team environment.
- Previous internship experience is preferred.

- Compensation: $18.75 to $29.75 per hour.
