About the role#
Dewberry is looking for a Site/Civil Engineering Intern for the summer of 2027. You will work in our Lanham, Maryland office on projects for commercial and government clients. This is a full-time, paid internship where you will gain hands-on experience by working alongside our design teams on residential, commercial, and industrial site development.
What you'll do#
- Design site and civil development projects, including grading, roadways, storm water management, and erosion and sediment control.
- Prepare technical calculations, reports, and spreadsheets.
- Work with design teams to create detailed construction plans.
- Research codes, write specifications, and assist with the permitting process.
- Participate in professional development workshops, networking events, and a summer-long group project.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a B.S. or M.S. program for Civil Engineering.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Previous internship experience is preferred.

- This position is based on-site in Lanham, Maryland.
- The internship takes place during the summer of 2027.
- We do not provide a housing stipend and local candidates are preferred.
- We are unable to provide work authorization sponsorship for this role.
