About the role#
Dewberry is looking for a Mechanical Engineering Intern to join our Denver office for the Summer 2027 term. You will work with a project team to assist in the design of building mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position.
What you'll do#
- Prepare mechanical engineering calculations, reports, and construction drawings.
- Develop specifications, schedules, and budgets for building mechanical and utility distribution systems.
- Work under the supervision of a registered Professional Engineer.
- Interact with project team members, clients, and contractors.
- Collaborate with diverse teams on complex projects.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a similar equivalent.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
- Previous internship experience with a consulting engineering firm is a plus.
- Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, MS Word, and MS Excel is helpful.
- Strong organizational skills and clear written and oral communication.
