About the role#
Dewberry is looking for a Highway Engineering Intern to join our team in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, for the summer of 2027. This is a full-time, paid internship where you will gain hands-on experience by working on projects similar to those handled by our full-time staff. You will also participate in professional development workshops, networking events, and a summer-long group project.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the design of horizontal and vertical alignments.
- Help design drainage and traffic signal systems.
- Support work on utility relocations and maintenance or protection of traffic schemes.
- Prepare right-of-way and contract plans for various project types.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a B.S. degree program for Civil Engineering.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Experience with AutoCAD or Microstation is preferred.

- This position is located on-site in Mechanicsburg, PA.
- This is a paid, full-time internship for Summer 2027.
- Dewberry does not provide a housing stipend for this role.
