About the role#
We are looking for a Highway Engineering Intern to join our Bloomfield, New Jersey office for the Summer 2027 term. You will work within a project team on roadway and highway design tasks. This is a full-time, paid internship.
What you'll do#
- Design and prepare contract documents for roadway improvement projects.
- Perform highway and roadway design work.
- Use CADD software to support our project teams.
- Apply design standards from AASHTO, NJDOT, the NJ Turnpike Authority, and local counties.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a BS program for Civil Engineering.
- Familiarity with NJDOT, NJ Turnpike Authority, AASHTO, and MUTCD design standards.
- Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and MicroStation.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

- This role is based on-site in Bloomfield, New Jersey.
