About the role#
Dewberry is looking for a Construction Project Engineer Intern for the Summer 2027 term. Based in our Raleigh office, you will join our Design Build team to gain hands-on experience across all project phases from concept to completion. You will work under the direct mentorship of experienced construction managers and participate in professional development workshops, networking events, and a summer-long group project.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with project managers and team leaders to develop, execute, and monitor project plans.
- Assist with purchasing activities and submittal reviews.
- Help maintain and update project schedules.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a B.S. in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and either AutoCAD or MicroStation.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks at once and solve problems with a focus on solutions.
- Previous construction internship experience is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Physically able to work outdoors in all weather conditions and terrains.
- Ability to stand for long periods, stoop, crawl, bend, squat, and lift 50 lbs.
