About the role#
Dewberry is looking for a Civil Engineering Intern to join the Site/Civil department in Orlando, Florida, for Summer 2027. You will work on residential, commercial, and industrial site development projects, as well as capital improvement projects for commercial and government clients. This is a full-time, paid internship.
What you'll do#
- Design site and civil developments, including grading, roadways, storm water management systems, and erosion control.
- Prepare calculations, reports, and spreadsheets.
- Collaborate with design teams to create detailed construction documents.
- Conduct code research, write specifications, and assist with permitting.
- Participate in professional development workshops, networking events, and a summer-long group project.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a B.S. or M.S. in Civil Engineering.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Previous internship experience is preferred.
