About the role#
This is a Federal Work Study position for a Social Media & Marketing Intern based in Dallas. You will work with the I Have a Dream Foundation of Dallas to support outreach and engagement efforts. The role focuses on promoting programs and increasing participation in fundraising campaigns.
What you'll do#
- Build a monthly social media calendar and schedule posts across platforms.
- Design graphics, flyers, and other digital content.
- Help run campaigns like North Texas Giving Day and Giving Tuesday.
- Capture and edit photography and video clips.
- Track social media engagement and report analytics to suggest improvements.
- Brainstorm content ideas and share stories with the team.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student at DeVry or Keller.
- Pursuit of a degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
- Writing and communication skills with an eye for detail.
- Experience with social media platforms and scheduling tools.
- Basic graphic design skills using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Interest in youth development and nonprofit work is a plus.
Location & details#
- Location: Dallas, Texas.
- Modality: Remote and hybrid options available.
- Schedule: Part-time, 10 to 20 hours per week.
- Commitment: A 6-month commitment is preferred.
