Internship, Security Sector, Fall 2026

About the role#

The Desjardins Group Security Office (DGSO) protects members and their data by managing cybersecurity, fraud prevention, and information protection. Interns will work alongside a team of over 1,700 professionals to strengthen organizational resilience and promote security best practices across the company.

What you'll do#

• Support operational security, risk analysis, vulnerability assessment, and threat monitoring, including the integration of controls into IT projects.
• Assist in implementing security practices that comply with organizational and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct assessments of physical security measures and continuity plans, monitor audit discrepancies, and draft governance documentation.
• Develop visual reports, dashboards, and operational monitoring tools to analyze performance indicators and support team efficiency.
• Provide advice on personal information protection, conduct legal research on cybersecurity regulations, and analyze security clauses in contracts.
• Develop communications action plans, create awareness deliverables regarding security standards, and provide training support.
• Diagnose issues, conduct studies, and analyze information to support investigations and business analysis projects.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Business Administration, or Communications.
• Your educational institution must credit or certify the internship toward your degree.
• Previous relevant work or internship experience.
• Proficiency in French.
