About the role#
This internship provides an introduction to the audit profession. You will work alongside experienced professionals to gain real-world perspective on financial statement audits. Throughout the program, you will receive guidance from a coach, participate in networking activities, and receive feedback on your performance. This is a full-time, paid position for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Audit client financials, transactions, and internal control processes.
- Apply concepts of risk assessment and design audit procedures to address those risks.
- Use audit tools and technologies to perform data interrogation and analysis.
- Work across Audit and Assurance offerings, including Specialized Assurance, Accounting & Reporting, and Internal Audit.
- Perform audit procedures over key financial statement accounts and disclosures.
- Evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls related to financial reporting.
- Analyze financial documentation to identify risks, trends, and potential issues.
- Prepare accurate audit documentation and collaborate directly with client personnel and engagement teams.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Definitive plans to meet the educational requirements for CPA licensure.
- Fluency in English and Japanese.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Ability to travel up to 50%.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Preferred qualifications include a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or above, relevant work experience, demonstrated leadership roles, and a dual major or minor in a technology-related field.

- Locations: Chicago, IL; Detroit, MI; Los Angeles, CA; New York, NY; San Jose, CA.
- Work Modality: Hybrid, with an expectation to co-locate at the office on average three times per week.
- Residency: Must live within a commutable distance of your assigned office.
