About the role#
DEKA Research & Development is looking for an Electrical Engineer Co-Op for a 6-month rotation during the Winter 2027 term. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Manchester, New Hampshire. You will work with our engineering team to develop new products and concepts.
What you'll do#
- Support the development of new product concepts.
- Characterize electrical circuits and document their performance.
- Assist with failure analysis and troubleshoot electromechanical prototypes.
- Perform verification and validation activities using test equipment and fixtures.
- Operate software on embedded systems.
- Use electrical CAD tools, specifically Altium, for schematic and layout work.
- Apply engineering principles to solve technical problems.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a junior, senior, or graduate student in an Electrical Engineering program.
- Hands-on experience gained through academic or personal projects.
- Knowledge of analog circuits, including signal and low-power, and digital electronics.
- Exposure to electrical CAD tools for schematic and layout.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- You must be at least 18 years of age.
- A detail-oriented approach and an ability to work well in a team.
- Experience in the medical device industry is a plus.
