About the role#
Dee Zee, Inc. is hiring a Quality Engineering Intern to support projects focused on product quality and reliability. This role provides hands-on experience in a manufacturing setting, where you will analyze production data, investigate root causes, and help develop quality documentation.
What you'll do#
- Analyze quality data like FTT% and PPM to find trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Join problem-solving teams to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Write and update control plans, operator instructions, and appearance standards.
- Develop reports and dashboards to share quality metrics across the company.
- Support continuous improvement projects and provide progress updates to supervisors.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a Sophomore, Junior, or Senior in Industrial Engineering, Industrial Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with data analysis tool experience being a plus.
- Ability to follow direction, adapt to changing tasks, and manage deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- Willingness to work in a manufacturing environment that includes exposure to coolant, dust, mist, elevated noise, and variable temperatures.
