About the role#
The Procurement Intern supports the Procurement & Sustainability Department with purchasing, reporting, data entry, and vendor-related tasks. You will gain hands-on experience with supply chain operations while working with internal teams and vendors to ensure the efficient procurement of food, supplies, and services. This role involves a variety of administrative and research duties to support the organization's mission.
What you'll do#
- Assist with reporting and data entry for the department.
- Support procurement ordering by tracking commodities, entering orders, and maintaining order guides.
- Research products, pricing, availability, and potential vendors.
- Maintain accurate vendor, product, and purchasing records.
- Track purchase orders, deliveries, and outstanding orders.
- Organize vendor quotes, invoices, and other procurement documentation.
- Collaborate with internal departments to support their procurement needs.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program in Business, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Operations, Finance, Hospitality, or Food Systems.
- Interest or experience in procurement, purchasing, or business operations.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accurate record keeping.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
