    About the role#

    IIRR is looking for interns to support our global, regional, and country-level work. You will contribute to a range of organizational functions and projects, gaining practical experience in an international development organization. Assignments are tailored to organizational needs as well as your specific skills and interests. As we operate in an international environment, your responsibilities may evolve to meet shifting priorities.

    What you'll do#

    • Research and prepare grant proposals, concept notes, and donor materials.
    • Assist with partnership development activities and coordinate meetings.
    • Conduct literature reviews and research on topics relevant to our programs.
    • Support project planning, implementation, and reporting.
    • Create communications materials, including website content and reports.
    • Provide administrative and analytical support to global and regional teams.

    What you'll need#

    • A Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
    • Strong writing skills with meticulous attention to detail.
    • Intermediate experience with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google applications.
    • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
    • The ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
    • A self-motivated approach and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.

    Location & details#

    • This is a fully remote, unpaid internship that may be taken for class credit.
    • We require a consistent work schedule during New York/East Coast business hours.
    • We offer full-time (40 hours per week for 3 months) or part-time (20 hours per week for 6 months) models.
    • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
