About the role#
This internship offers hands-on experience with mapping, data analysis, and geographic information systems at DFW Airport. You will work with experienced professionals to support the operation and development of airport infrastructure through geospatial technology. This role is for students pursuing studies in GIS, geography, urban planning, engineering, or data analytics.
What you'll do#
- Create, update, and maintain geospatial datasets for airport facilities, utilities, and transportation systems.
- Develop maps, dashboards, and web applications to support airport planning and business decisions.
- Review geospatial information to ensure data accuracy and compliance with standards.
- Collect field data using GPS devices and mobile applications.
- Collaborate with team members and internal stakeholders to communicate findings through reports and presentations.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in geographic information systems, information technology, or a related field.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
- Eligibility to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

- This is a full-time, paid internship.
- The position is based on-site at DFW International Airport in Texas.
- The term for this role is Summer 2027.
