About the role#
This internship offers hands-on experience in environmental data management and technical project support at DFW Airport. You will work with environmental professionals to organize and standardize data across various department programs. The role focuses on improving data quality and developing metrics to support the airport's Resilience Stress Testing Tool, which helps assess operational performance and risks under extreme conditions.
What you'll do#
- Inventory environmental and operational datasets by documenting sources, formats, ownership, and current uses.
- Review datasets for accuracy and consistency, while cleaning and standardizing information for analysis.
- Prepare and validate data for the Resilience Stress Testing Tool.
- Assist in refining program metrics and creating reports or visualizations to help department leaders assess performance.
- Collaborate with teams to document data definitions, quality checks, and maintenance procedures.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in environmental science, environmental engineering, data analytics, data science, information systems, civil engineering, or a related field.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
- Eligibility to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

- This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027.
- The position is based on-site at DFW International Airport in Dallas, Texas.
