About the role#
Cyrq Energy is hiring an Engineering Intern for the summer of 2027. You will work with our team to improve the uptime and production of our geothermal power plants. This is a full-time, paid position based in Reno, Nevada. The internship lasts for 13 weeks, starting in mid-May and ending in mid-August.
What you'll do#
- Support the engineering team on projects focused on plant performance and reliability.
- Learn how geothermal systems function by combining your independent study with team mentorship.
- Create a project roadmap and see it through to completion over the 13-week term.
- Present a final report with your findings and recommendations.
What you'll need#
- You are an active undergraduate or graduate student in an engineering discipline, specifically Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering.
- You hold a valid driver’s license and have an acceptable motor vehicle record.
- You can work in remote field locations and handle difficult weather conditions.
- You are able to wear all required Personal Protective Equipment and work at heights up to 50 feet.
- You can lift up to 30 pounds.
