About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support the daily operations of a retail pharmacy. You will gain professional experience by participating in patient care programs and assisting with pharmacy workflow management. This role focuses on delivering quality care while maintaining a safe and effective environment for patients and staff.
What you'll do#
- Ensure a safe and effective work environment that meets regulatory requirements.
- Adopt and manage patient care programs to support customer and patient health.
- Deliver exceptional care to every patient through empathy and clear communication.
- Facilitate a team culture that promotes caring, energy, and enthusiasm.
- Provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
- Assist with inventory management and workflow tasks, excluding final prescription verification.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining one.
- Between 0 and 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to maintain regular, predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Physical ability to remain upright for long periods, reach overhead, bend, and lift up to 20 lbs.
