About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment. You will play a key role in delivering care to patients and managing pharmacy operations while gaining professional experience in the field of pharmaceutical sciences.
What you'll do#
- Deliver care to patients while demonstrating empathy and compassion.
- Support pharmacy professional practice, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.
- Manage pharmacy workflow and inventory, excluding final prescription verification.
- Assist with the adoption and management of patient care programs.
- Facilitate a team culture that promotes energy and caring.
- Provide patient immunizations once you meet state regulations.
- Provide customer service to patients, caregivers, and colleagues.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or the ability to obtain it.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work a schedule that includes nights and weekends.
- Physical ability to remain upright for extended periods, move items, and perform tasks requiring finger dexterity.
- Completion of all required training within state guidelines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.
- Immunization eligibility is preferred.
