About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the supervision of a preceptor to gain hands-on experience in a community pharmacy setting. This position focuses on professional development through the ExperienceRx program while you assist the team in delivering patient care and maintaining pharmacy operations.
What you'll do#
- Participate in all steps of the prescription filling process.
- Provide patient counseling and answer questions for pharmacy and front store customers.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Offer health screenings and immunizations.
- Support patient safety protocols and maintain regulatory compliance.
- Manage pharmacy inventory.
- Identify business opportunities to drive growth and improve pharmacy performance.
- Stay current on new training, initiatives, and developments in the field.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a School of Pharmacy.
- An active Pharmacy Intern License in the state of California.
- No pending felony charges or convictions for criminal offenses involving controlled substances.
- Must not be on the DEA Excluded Parties List.
Location & details#
- This role is based in Oceanside, California.
- This is an on-site, part-time position.
- The role is paid, with a typical hourly pay range between $16.00 and $23.10 depending on experience and year in school.
