About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work as part of the pharmacy team under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. You will gain professional experience while helping patients manage their health and medication needs. This is a part-time position.
What you'll do#
- Ensure a safe and effective retail pharmacy work environment.
- Manage patient care programs to help customers maintain their health.
- Provide customer service and patient counseling.
- Handle inventory and pharmacy workflow management tasks.
- Complete all required training and obtain necessary licensure within state guidelines.
- Maintain regular attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 20 lbs, reaching, and standing for extended periods.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in or acceptance to an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining one.
- Between 0 and 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring finger dexterity and close visual acuity.
