About the role#
This is an 11-week, full-time internship running from May 24, 2027, to August 4, 2027. You will work with the Aetna National Accounts team to support large employers with complex healthcare benefit needs. This role offers exposure to sales, account management, finance, and client reporting while you learn from experienced leaders and cross-functional partners.
What you'll do#
- Learn about client needs, Aetna products, healthcare market trends, and the sales process.
- Assist with research, sales opportunity tracking, pipeline updates, proposals, and client presentations.
- Analyze business data and performance trends to support strategic planning.
- Conduct research on healthcare industry developments and competitive insights.
- Coordinate with internal partners to gather information and address business challenges.
- Support projects focused on process improvement and operational effectiveness.
- Prepare client reports, dashboards, and executive-ready summaries using financial and operational data.
- Participate in meetings, document decisions, and complete follow-up activities.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree with an anticipated graduation date between September 2027 and June 2028.
- Major in business administration, economics, finance, healthcare administration, public health, data science, statistics, management, or marketing.
- Demonstrated leadership in student organizations, athletics, or work-related initiatives.
- Previous internship or project experience in a related field is helpful.
- Ability to work with quantitative information and perform basic data analysis.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience with presentations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, or the ability to learn these tools.
- A collaborative, curious, and customer-focused approach.
- Interest in pursuing a full-time position with CVS Health after graduation.

Location & details#
- This is a hybrid position based in Hartford, Connecticut.
- You will work from the office three days per week, typically Tuesday through Thursday.
- The role is paid at $26 per hour for a 40-hour workweek.
- Interns receive two days of paid leave.
