About the role#
This internship provides a structured path for foreign-trained pharmacy graduates to complete their required US internship hours. You will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to build your clinical knowledge and prepare for US licensure exams. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Bloomfield, New Jersey.
What you'll do#
- Process prescriptions, including translating SIG codes, selecting products, and labeling.
- Counsel customers on medications under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Assist with inventory management and maintaining stock levels.
- Support the pharmacy manager in motivating and developing pharmacy support staff.
- Facilitate patient care programs and support clinical services, such as immunizations.
- Maintain a safe and professional pharmacy environment while adhering to regulatory requirements.
What you'll need#
- A Doctorate (PharmD) or equivalent degree from a non-US accredited school of pharmacy.
- An active Pharmacy Intern license in New Jersey.
- Successful completion of both the FPGEE and TOEFL exams.
- The ability to complete all required US internship hours within 18 months.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work nights and weekends as needed.
- Ability to lift and move objects up to 20 pounds.
