About the role#
We are building tools that allow end users to solve problems in real time without risking production systems. This role is equal parts builder and architect. You will write functional code for plant floor, operations, finance, and engineering teams while also creating the governance framework that dictates how tools are reviewed and deployed. Our users include plant supervisors and shift managers, so simplicity and speed are required in everything you build.
What you'll do#
- Build lightweight applications, dashboards, forms, and utilities for internal teams.
- Develop a governance framework, including standards, templates, and naming conventions.
- Define a deployment risk model to keep end-user code away from production systems like SAP, Salesforce, and Snowflake.
- Enable business users to build their own tools through guided paths and sanctioned access.
- Document your work so others can maintain and build upon your tools.
What you'll need#
- Proficiency in Python for scripting and web apps, specifically Flask and Streamlit.
- Experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for interface design.
- Familiarity with Node.js for server-side logic and APIs.
- Working knowledge of AWS services, including S3, Lambda, and IAM.
- Ability to write clear documentation, policies, and technical standards.
- Experience with SQL, Git, and REST API consumption.
- Pursuit of a degree in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site, part-time position.
- You must reside in either Greenville, South Carolina, or Mayfield Heights, Ohio, to be considered.
- This is a paid, rolling internship.
