About the role#
As an Automation Intern, you will support our engineering team with technical projects that influence safety, cost, and quality. You will assist with the full lifecycle of automation projects, from initial scope definition through final implementation. This is a paid, full-time position for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Provide technical support to internal customers.
- Apply electrical and controls skills to improve existing automation systems.
- Assist with the design and implementation of automation projects to ensure they meet deadlines.
- Follow company work instructions and standard work procedures.
- Ensure all projects comply with ISO standards, medical device requirements, and our internal Quality System.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a 2-4 year degree program for mechanical or controls engineering, with a focus on automation.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks for computer design.
- Strong command of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously while prioritizing your workload.
- Strong problem-solving skills.

- Schedule: 40 hours per week.
