About the role#
As a Machine Learning Engineering Intern, you will join the Knowledge Assist (KA) team. This team builds AI solutions for contact centers to improve agent productivity by surfacing information at the right time. You will work on projects like Generative Knowledge Assist, Knowledge Search, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation to help agents provide accurate responses.
What you'll do#
- Design, develop, and deploy proprietary models and KA solutions.
- Focus on practical AI challenges, specifically improving reasoning and evaluation in real-world scenarios.
- Collaborate with front-end and back-end software engineers to integrate solutions.
- Lead initiatives to scale AI systems for production environments.
- Ensure performance and reliability across various use cases.
- Research ways to improve the security, cost-efficiency, and reliability of AI systems.
- Help define the future roadmap for Cresta’s KA.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Python.
- Familiarity with at least one deep learning framework, such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- A strong understanding of machine learning fundamentals and generative modeling.
- Ability to design and analyze experiments involving large-scale datasets.
- Work authorization in Canada at the time of hire.
