About the role#
CAA ICON is looking for an Owner’s Representative and Construction Project Management intern for the Summer 2027 term. You will work with our project field team to support daily operations, project coordination, and client communication. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Oklahoma City. You will gain exposure to construction methodologies, architectural design, and sustainable building practices through hands-on project work and site visits. The internship concludes with a capstone project and presentation.
What you'll do#
- Handle daily administrative tasks including document development, scanning, and tracking logs.
- Maintain the project team calendar, manage meeting invites, and coordinate conference calls.
- Attend and document regularly scheduled meetings.
- Assist with project data collection, budget monitoring, and forecasting costs.
- Support contract administration, document control, and RFI processing.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and staff.
- Review and prepare Purchase Orders and Change Orders.
- Navigate and markup architectural building drawings.
- Capture site photographs and lead or participate in site tours.
- Assist with event planning and special projects.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- Expected graduation date in Spring, Summer, or Winter 2027, or Spring or Summer 2028.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0 is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and Bluebeam.
- Experience with Microsoft Project is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time management abilities.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Dependable, results-focused, and detail-oriented mindset.
