About the role#
Crane Currency is looking for a Chemical Engineering student to join our Research and Development department. This co-op position offers hands-on experience in our Nashua facility. You will work on real business needs while building your professional network and developing new technical skills. This is a paid, full-time position starting in early 2027 and continuing through the summer.
What you'll do#
- Support research and development projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist with trials, including preparation, testing, data analysis, and report generation.
- Conduct post-trial follow-up tasks.
- Participate in monthly lab and secure material audits.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a four-year or MS degree program in Chemical Engineering.
- Completion of at least one full year of college or university studies.
- Academic or work experience in a chemical or lab environment.
- Ability to follow standard work instructions and safety protocols when working with chemicals and equipment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Eagerness to learn.
- Interest in Organic Chemistry or Material Science is preferred.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
