    About the role#

    As a Quality Engineering Co-op at Crane Company, you will work directly with the Quality department under the mentorship of a senior engineer. This role provides exposure to all quality activities within the organization, including audits, data collection, process improvement, and professional development. This is a full-time, paid rolling co-op position.

    What you'll do#

    • Assist in the development and execution of quality control plans and inspection procedures.
    • Participate in audits and inspections of manufacturing processes and finished goods.
    • Support investigations into customer-reported quality issues, including identifying root causes using tools like 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagrams, or FMEA.
    • Help implement and track corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to ensure resolution and prevent recurrence.
    • Collect and analyze quality data to identify trends, deviations, and opportunities for improvement using statistical methods.
    • Maintain accurate records of inspections and non-conformances.
    • Prepare reports and presentations for internal quality reviews and customer communications.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve manufacturing and quality processes.
    • Participate in Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Ensure compliance with ISO9001:2015 standards, customer requirements, and internal procedures.
    • Attend training sessions on quality systems, tools, and company-specific procedures.

    What you'll need#

    • Current pursuit of a degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Business Administration, or Statistics.
    • Ability to participate in audits and inspections of manufacturing processes.
    • Interest in supporting investigations into customer-reported quality issues.
    • Willingness to collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve manufacturing and quality processes.
    • Commitment to ensuring compliance with ISO9001:2015 standards.
    • Ability to attend training sessions on quality systems, tools, and company-specific procedures.
