Finance Co-op

About the role#

The Finance Co-op position at Crane Company offers exposure to various financial and accounting functions within a manufacturing environment. This role focuses on cost maintenance, vendor data management, fixed asset tracking, and operational cost reporting.

What you'll do#

• Update bills of material and machine routings.
• Set up and maintain standard costs within the JDE ERP system.
• Maintain vendor master files and payment information with high attention to detail.
• Utilize Access and PowerBI to extract data and support system development.
• Assist with fixed asset counts, tracking, and reconciliation to the official ledger.
• Prepare data for budgeting purposes.
• Coordinate with the accounting manager, controller, and operations to distribute key reports and manage approval documentation.
• Provide commentary regarding variances to standard costs.
• Maintain and improve the monthly department task checklist.

What you'll need#

• Pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
• Familiarity with ERP systems, specifically JDE.
• Experience working with Access and PowerBI.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to analyze and explain variances to standard costs.
