About the role#
As an Intern Analyst in the Systematic Strategies Group, you will contribute to systematic investment research across global markets and multiple asset classes. You will work within the Capital Markets and Factor Investing department, which manages systematic strategies spanning equities, fixed income, commodities, currencies, and volatility. This role is a full-time position starting in Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Support end-to-end research on systematic signals across asset classes like rates, equities, currencies, and commodities.
- Build tools for forecasting and monitoring that synthesize macroeconomic, market, and alternative datasets.
- Engineer data workflows to support systematic investment research.
- Translate academic research into improvements for investment models.
- Contribute to practical research regarding financial markets, portfolio management, portfolio construction, and asset pricing.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a PhD program for Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a related quantitative field. Candidates at the dissertation stage are preferred.
- Experience working with financial or economic data.
- Strong programming skills, specifically in Python and SQL.
- Empirical modelling, econometric, and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Intellectual curiosity and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
- A commitment to the Guiding Principles of Integrity, Partnership, and High Performance.
