About the role#
This Co-Op position is based in Sanford, North Carolina. You will work on-site for a 7.5-month term starting in Summer 2027. This is a full-time, paid role focused on engineering projects within a manufacturing environment.
What you'll do#
- Identify sustainability opportunities and lead projects to support Net-Zero efforts.
- Apply process improvement tools, such as statistical process control, process mapping, and design of experiments.
- Analyze data from critical systems to identify trends and suggest improvements.
- Create standards and provide training for facilities technicians to support continuous improvement.
- Develop and document process flow diagrams.
- Improve productivity and resource use to drive cost savings.
- Follow all site GMP policies and procedures.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a B.S. degree program in Environmental, Industrial, Civil, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering.
- 1 to 2 years of study remaining until graduation.
- Analytical problem-solving skills, including experience with gap analysis and root cause tools.
- Working knowledge of statistics, specifically Statistical Process Control (SPC).
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing tools.
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office, Visio, and SAP.
