About the role#
This is a 7.5-month full-time Co-Op position based in Hunt Valley, Maryland. You will own projects focused on cost, quality, and safety within a manufacturing environment. You will work across areas including chemical processing, warehouse systems, and high-speed filling technologies to drive performance improvements.
What you'll do#
- Apply process improvement tools such as statistical process control, process mapping, control charts, and Lean methodology.
- Analyze production line data to identify trends and make recommendations for improvement.
- Develop standards and train line technicians to support continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with New Product Development, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams to implement new products.
- Drive cost savings by improving productivity, optimizing labor, and increasing material utilization.
- Document processes using flow diagrams and follow site GMP policies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a B.S. degree program in Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering with 1-2 years remaining until graduation.
- Working knowledge of statistics, specifically Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Design of Experiments (DOE).
- Familiarity with Lean tools like value stream mapping, TPM, 5S, and continuous flow.
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Access, drawing software, and SAP.
- Strong analytical problem-solving and information-gathering skills.
