About the role#
As a Contract Binding Intern, you will join our team for a 12-week program during the summer of 2027. You will handle real work while receiving guidance from our staff and leadership. This role is a full-time, on-site position based in Scottsdale, Arizona.
What you'll do#
- Review insurance applications and supporting documentation.
- Evaluate new and renewal business opportunities.
- Assess potential risks and understand specific coverage criteria.
- Rate policies and prepare quotes.
- Perform risk classification and premium computation.
- Handle other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor degree program for risk management and insurance.
- Availability to work 40 hours per week for the duration of the 12-week program.
- Knowledge of common insurance products like General Liability and Property.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate clearly through verbal and written channels.
- Capability to manage time and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Previous experience reviewing applications, evaluating risks, or pricing is preferred.
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
