Field Operations Co-op (Spring 2027)

About the role#

The Field Operations Co-op supports Superintendents and Project Managers with field coordination, project documentation, and quality control. This full-time, on-site role provides hands-on experience in construction management, focusing on daily site activities, safety administration, and schedule tracking.

What you'll do#

• Support the administration of the project safety program to maintain a compliant work environment.
• Provide technical assistance by interpreting contract drawings, submittals, and project documentation.
• Assist with daily and weekly tasks, including preparing reports, conducting safety walks, and updating project schedules.
• Participate in the quality assurance program by attending meetings and performing site inspections.
• Monitor onsite material deliveries and inventory to ensure project progress.
• Coordinate subcontractor activities and maintain project documentation such as logs, RFIs, and submittal tracking.
• Observe and report on site conditions that may impact cost, schedule, or safety.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Environmental Engineering, or Business Administration; preference for construction-focused programs.
• Basic knowledge of construction site safety standards and practices.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, submittals, and technical documents.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and an aptitude for learning construction management software.
• Understanding of construction scheduling, including critical path method (CPM) concepts.
• Strong organizational skills for managing documentation and reporting.
