About the role#
ConnectPrep is looking for a Data Analyst Intern to join our team. This role sits at the intersection of instruction and technology. You will work with our educators to validate and iterate the models that drive our analytics. You will gain an understanding of the algorithms and platforms that support our products, helping us build modules that identify the academic needs of individual students.
What you'll do#
- Engage with team members to validate and iterate the models that drive analytics.
- Develop an understanding of algorithms, technologies, and platforms that support our products.
- Support projects involving AI and chatbot development for our educational programs.
- Analyze website metrics like traffic, engagement, and conversions.
- Prepare simple dashboards and summary reports.
- Help test, document, and iterate on new data and AI workflows.
- Perform data mining and cleaning from various internal and external sources.
- Conduct SEO and keyword research to identify growth opportunities.
What you'll need#
- You are currently studying or have studied Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
- You enjoy creative problem solving and working with messy, real-world data.
- You possess strong quantitative skills and high attention to detail.
- You have some coding experience and an interest in technology and AI.
- You are comfortable doing serious work in Excel, including pivot tables, advanced formulas, and data visualization.
- Familiarity with SQL or Python data tools like Pandas and NumPy is a plus.
- Experience with web analytics, SEO tools, or data visualization platforms like Tableau or Power BI is helpful.
