PT Nurse Intern

About the role#

The Nurse Intern supports patient care under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. This role focuses on hands-on learning and collaboration within the healthcare team to provide safe, compassionate care in a clinical setting.

What you'll do#

• Provide basic patient care, including monitoring vital signs, assisting with hygiene, and supporting patient comfort.
• Participate in bedside shift reports and communicate effectively with the care team regarding patient conditions.
• Perform hourly rounding and engage in purposeful interactions to support a therapeutic environment.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Assist with the maintenance, cleaning, and storage of patient care equipment.
• Document all tasks and observations accurately and in a timely manner.
• Uphold professional customer service standards for patients and their families.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in an accredited Nursing program.
• Completion of fundamentals of clinicals in an accredited Nursing program.
• 0-1 years of experience in a healthcare setting.
• Valid CPR certification from the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or American Safety and Health Institute.
• Fingerprint Clearance Card for Skilled Nursing issued by the State Department of Public Safety.
• Basic understanding of patient care procedures and medical terminology.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
