The Nurse Intern supports patient care under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). This position focuses on hands-on learning, collaboration with the healthcare team, and providing safe, compassionate care to enhance the patient experience on the Ortho floor during night shifts.
What you'll do#
- Provide basic patient care, including vital sign monitoring, hygiene assistance, and patient comfort measures.
- Perform hourly rounding and engage in purposeful patient interactions.
- Communicate effectively with the care team, including participating in shift reports and reporting changes in patient conditions.
- Document all tasks and observations clearly, accurately, and in a timely manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including patient rooms and shared workspaces.
- Assist with basic equipment maintenance, such as glucometers, bladder scanners, and scales.
- Uphold excellent customer service relations with patients and families.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in an accredited Nursing program.
- Completion of fundamentals of clinicals in an accredited Nursing program.
- 0-1 years of experience in a healthcare setting.
- CPR certification (AHA, ARC, or ASHI).
- Fingerprint Clearance Card for Skilled Nursing.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

- Schedule: Full-time, night shift.
- Terms: Paid internship with rolling start dates.
