About the role#
Colony Brands is hiring for two Operations Management & Continuous Improvement internships based in Monroe, Wisconsin. These positions offer hands-on experience within a food manufacturing environment. You will learn the business from the production floor up, applying data analysis and industrial engineering skills to real-world operations. One position runs from January to August 2027, and the second runs from May to December 2027.
What you'll do#
- Partner with production and support teams to understand products, equipment, systems, and constraints.
- Conduct time studies, process observations, and data collection to identify bottlenecks and performance losses.
- Translate findings into practical tools like dashboards, trackers, and standard operating procedures.
- Use structured problem-solving and root-cause analysis to support corrective actions.
- Lead an assigned improvement project from initial definition through implementation, validation, and final presentation.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a junior or senior in a bachelor’s or associate degree program, or recent graduation.
- Studies in Production/Operations Management, Industrial Technology, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple assignments, and follow through on commitments.
