About the role#
This is a 6-month paid internship focused on product development and research. You will lead laboratory and product design projects to test product performance and stability. You will work under the guidance of experts in the field and have opportunities to network with other students and senior leaders.
What you'll do#
- Conduct sensory, analytical, and taste performance research.
- Investigate pet and parent preferences, ingredients, product composition, and product stability.
- Prepare formulas for testing.
- Analyze complex data sets to draw key conclusions.
- Maintain accurate records and write final technical reports.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure proper study design and present your findings.
- Manage projects to ensure successful execution.
- Assist with general lab maintenance.
What you'll need#
- Current Junior or Senior status seeking a degree in Food Science, Food Engineering, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum 3.0 overall GPA.
- Ability to work in the United States on a permanent and unlimited basis.
- Ability to relocate to Topeka, Kansas for the internship.
- Preferred: Completed a BS in Food Science, Food Engineering, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Preferred: Experience with gas or liquid chromatography or sensory science.
