About the role#
This paid summer internship provides hands-on experience in analytical chemistry within a manufacturing environment. You will work on a project under the guidance of an expert mentor. The role focuses on implementing automated processes and improving the efficiency of current laboratory methods.
What you'll do#
- Program, calibrate, maintain, and operate robotic instruments to prepare chemical solutions.
- Ensure results are accurate and reproducible.
- Process, analyze, and interpret gas chromatographic data to validate methods.
- Work with team members on method development and continuous improvement projects.
What you'll need#
- Junior or Senior status in a Bachelor degree program for Chemistry, Forensic Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Practical experience with computer programming.
- Familiarity with calibration techniques, quantification methods, and lab data systems.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience with GC/MS instrumentation is preferred.
