About the role#
This Corporate Communications Co-Op position works with the Hill’s corporate communications team to implement internal and external communication strategies. You will report to the director of global communications and contribute to projects that support storytelling and customer experience. This is a paid, 9-month role based in Overland Park, Kansas.
What you'll do#
- Create content for emails, newsletters, digital signage, presentations, toolkits, and intranet pages.
- Assist with writing press releases, social media copy, award submissions, and messaging documents.
- Help plan and execute employee engagement projects and corporate events like town halls.
- Support the global Hills Cares corporate philanthropy program.
- Compile weekly media monitoring reports and track employer branding metrics.
- Provide administrative support including data entry, file management, and document preparation.
- Stay current on communications trends to suggest fresh ideas for the team.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a Junior, Senior, or Graduate student in public relations, marketing, communications studies, organizational communication, or a related field.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including knowledge of AP Style.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides) and Canva.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
