About the role#
This internship provides first-hand exposure to sales and logistics operations within the construction industry. You will work alongside the Sales Manager to gain practical experience in business operations, forecasting, and customer relationship management. This is a full-time, paid position designed to supplement your college education through hands-on project work and mentorship.
What you'll do#
- Monitor industry websites to identify bid opportunities.
- Develop telecommunication skills to build and maintain customer relationships.
- Join the Sales Manager on customer visits and prospecting calls.
- Manage trucking tickets to support the logistics reconciliation process.
- Gain insight into forecasting, budgeting, and P&L statements.
- Learn best practices for addressing and resolving customer concerns.
- Complete additional tasks as assigned to support the team.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program such as Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or Industrial Engineering.
- A valid driver’s license with a clean driving history.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with standard computer programs and office software.
- Business and financial acumen with an understanding of basic accounting concepts.
- Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds and follow all safety and PPE guidelines.

- This role is based on-site in Rapid City, South Dakota.
- The position is full-time with a rolling term.
