About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in corporate accounting within the construction industry. You will work under direct supervision to assist our finance team with daily operations and specific projects. You will be paired with a mentor to guide your professional development throughout the term.
What you'll do#
- Support month end and quarterly closings, financial reporting, and budgeting tasks.
- Assist with reconciliations for accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank statements, and the balance sheet.
- Perform data entry into various accounting systems.
- Help the accounting department with general functions.
- Meet regularly with your assigned mentor to discuss your progress.
- Complete a capstone project and presentation for company leadership.
- Uphold company safety initiatives and core values.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accounting, finance, or business administration degree program.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is preferred.
- A valid driver’s license and clean driving history are preferred.
- Ability to lift or move up to 35 pounds and work in an office setting.
