About the role#
This internship provides exposure to financial, accounting, and business processes within the construction industry. You will work under direct supervision to support our accounting and finance team while gaining hands-on experience through project work and 1:1 mentorship.
What you'll do#
- Support month-end and quarterly closings, financial reporting, and budgeting.
- Assist with accounts receivable, accounts payable, and bank statement reconciliations.
- Perform Balance Sheet reconciliations.
- Enter data into accounting systems including JD Edwards, Citrix/HeavyJob, ADRA, OnBase, and Anaplan.
- Meet regularly with an assigned mentor to discuss ideas and navigate challenges.
- Complete a capstone project and presentation for company leadership.
- Embrace the company safety culture and follow all core values and ethical policies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is preferred.
- A valid driver’s license and clean driving history is preferred.
- Ability to lift or move up to 35 pounds and work in an office environment.
Location & details#
- This is a paid, full-time internship.
- Work is on-site in either Ogallala or North Platte, Nebraska.
- The position follows a rolling schedule.
